Chemical Sizing: Fabric thread is coated in “sizing” to prevent breakage during the manufacturing process. Sizing burns easily, blocks sublimation ink from fully sublimating, blocks the Poly-T from bonding with the fibers, and washes out after a few washes, taking the Poly-T and sub ink with it. polyTpro has a desizing agent in the formula, but some brands/colors have very heavy sizing that is difficult to remove. This is especially true with gray fabric and Bella Canvas shirts. With that said, TeeSol is used to remove stubborn sizing before applying the polyTpro.
Spray TeeSol on shirt, then spray polyTpro over TeeSol, making sure to not to spray beyond the edge of the TeeSol. Throw the shirt in the dryer to dry. Sublimate at 385 for 70 seconds using heavy pressure.
TeeSol is sold as a concentrate.
The 2 oz. bottle of concentrate makes 8 oz. of TeeSol when you add water which will coat approximately 16 t-shirts with a 10" X 12" print area.
The 4 oz. bottle of concentrate makes 16 oz. of TeeSol when you add water which will coat approximately 32 t-shirts with a 10" X 12" print area.
The 8 oz. bottle of concentrate makes 32 oz. of TeeSol when you add water which will coat approximately 64 t-shirts with a 10" X 12" print area.
The 32 oz. bottle of concentrate makes 1 gallon of TeeSol when you add water which will coat approximately 256 t-shirts with a 10" X 12" print area.
